SadX Production Lab built the SplitNow app as an Ad Supported app. This SERVICE is provided by SadX Production Lab at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use my Service.
If you choose to use my Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. I will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
SplitNow is an offline-first app. It does not require an account, sign-in, email address or phone number. Everything you enter in the app is retained on your device and is not collected by me in any way.
The app does use third party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Your Expense Data
The groups, members, expenses, categories, budgets, settlements and notes you create in SplitNow are saved in a local database in the app's private storage on your device. This data is never uploaded to any server, is not synced to any cloud service operated by me, and is not shared with third parties. I do not operate any server that receives your data, and I cannot see or access it.
Names of Other People
When you add members to a group, the names and notes you type for them are stored only on your device, in the same local database. They are not collected, transmitted, or matched against your contacts or any external database. The app does not read your contact list.
Export & Sharing
You can export a group's expenses as a CSV or PDF file, or share a summary. These files are created on your device and placed in the app's temporary storage, then handed to the Android share sheet. A file leaves the app only when you choose to share it, and only to the app or person you select. Once shared, that file is handled under the privacy policy of the app you shared it with.
Notifications
The app can show an optional daily reminder about your active groups. This reminder is created entirely on your device; no push notification service is used and no device token is generated or sent. The notification permission is requested only when you turn the reminder on in Settings, and you can turn it off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
Analytics
The app does not include any analytics or crash-reporting service of my own, and I do not track how you use the app.
Advertising
The app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. These may include an ad when you return to the app, an occasional full-screen ad after saving expenses, and optional rewarded ads that you can choose to watch in exchange for an ad-free period. To show and measure ads, AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and operating system information, and information about how you interact with ads.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads). Your expense data, group names and member names are never shared with AdMob or used for advertising.
To manage how often ads appear, the app keeps a few values on your device, such as the date the app was first opened, the end time of any ad-free period, and simple counters. These values stay on your device and are not transmitted.
Internet Access
The app works without an internet connection. Internet access is used only to load ads; none of the data you enter is sent over the network by the app.
Log Data
I do not collect Log Data from your device. However, the third party services used by the app (Google AdMob and Google Play Services) may collect information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the time and date of your use of the Service, diagnostic information and other statistics, as described in their privacy policies linked above.
Data Retention & Deletion
Everything the app stores (groups, members, expenses, settlements, categories and settings) is kept on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can delete individual items inside the app, and all of it is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data. Because nothing is stored on a server, I cannot recover deleted data for you. Advertising data held by Google can be controlled through your Google account and device settings.
Cookies
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.
This Service does not use these "cookies" explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use "cookies" or similar identifiers to collect information and improve their services.
Service Providers
I may employ third-party companies due to the following reasons:
- To facilitate our Service;
- To provide the Service on our behalf; or
- To show advertising within the Service.
I want to inform users of this Service that these third parties have access only to the information described in the Advertising and Log Data sections above. They do not have access to the expense data you enter in the app.
Security
Your data is stored in the app's private storage, which is protected by Android from access by other apps. But remember that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security. Anyone with access to your unlocked device may be able to open the app and view your data.

This Service may contain links to other sites, including through ads. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by me. Therefore, I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. I have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Children's Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child has provided personal information through the Service, please contact me so that I will be able to do necessary actions.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
